    An Exercise in Bookkeeping
    Event Description

An Exercise in Bookkeeping: A Revenue Agents Perspective of Common Errors and Practices.

This seminar is designed for those who already have a basic understanding of tax requirements but would like more detailed information in specific sales and use tax situations.  We recommend sending specific questions and scenarios in advance so that we can address issues more in-depth and encourage participants to bring examples they wish to review with the group. Please bring calculator or phone to the seminar.

Audience:  Those wishing to have more hands-on experience in filling out returns, identifying and reporting use tax, using EPath, credit payments, and recordkeeping.

    Objectives:

    • Recordkeeping requirements
    • Filing returns
    • Use tax, how it applies to businesses, common use tax issues and how to avoid them
    • Using EPath to file electronic returns and make payments along with credit card options
    • Business audits
    • Requesting a review
