Unleash your creativity in this hobby class coming to RTEC!
Want to spend a few hours socializing, painting and having fun as you prepare to make the transition from winter to spring? Like to try trendy crafts, but dislike all of the prep work and clean-up that comes with it?
If this describes you, you’ll want to sign up for RTEC’s newest hobby class - New Bunnies on the Block - being offered from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Mar. 27, 2017. During this 2-hour “just for fun” class, instructor MaryBeth Herrboldt will demonstrate how to create a set of decorative accent pieces from hunks of wood that will be sure to add a charming, yet rustic touch to a counter, shelf, mantel or desktop anywhere in your home or office. Of course, the adorable pieces are perfect for sharing with a dear friend or loved one, too!
You’ll select three pre-cut block pieces before learning valuable painting tips and finishing techniques. Then you’ll be encouraged to let your imagination take over as you turn the simple wooden blocks into festive seasonal art that could complement - or even replace - your current spring or Easter decorations. Bunnies? Chicks? Flowers? Let your creativity decide!
No previous painting experience is necessary, making this class a perfect fit for anyone (age 13 and up) who would like to try something new. Cost is $25 (tax included). Bring a scissors and a hot glue gun, if you have one. Other materials furnished.
Call RTEC at (605) 668-5700 and sign up today! A minimum of six students are needed to offer the class, but class size is limited to 10!
