Day of Caring, a one day, community – wide event where volunteers can come together to change lives, one project at a time.
Day of Caring promotes the value of volunteerism and demonstrates that neighbors helping neighbors can create positive change in the lives of local families. Community members can register to participate in 1 of 8 projects to benefit local non-profit agencies.
Day of Caring projects thus far include:
- Fresh Paint, New Beginnings
Assist Habitat for Humanity in painting a newly constructed home for a local family.
Volunteers with all skills levels are welcome. Must be 14 years of age.
Support the Clothing Closet by sorting, organizing and displaying gently used, donated clothing.

- Bright Outlook - Great Futures
Help the Boys & Girls Club keep their facility clean and bright with summer cleaning projects like window washing!
Volunteers with all skill levels are welcome. A family friendly opportunity!
Assist Pathways Shelter for the Homeless provide a welcoming space for families experiencing homelessness.
Volunteers with all skills levels are welcome. Must be 14 years of age.
Sort & label donated children’s books to benefit The Big Red Bookshelf program.
Volunteers with all skill levels are welcome. A family friendly opportunity!
Help pack easy to prepare, nutritious food to be distributed to school age children who are at risk of hunger. Also assist with cleaning & organizing.

- Fixer Upper: Volunteer Edition
Aid Servant Hearts Clinic by updating client care space.
Volunteers with all skill levels are welcome. Must be 14 years of age.
Support Pathways Shelter for the Homeless Rapid Rehousing Program by organizing donated household necessities.
Must be able to lift heavy furniture. Must be 14 years of age.
Volunteers can sign up individually or create teams. Pre-registration is required to participate.
