Forum with Prison Task Force Members

Description

Two members of the Governor’s Project Prison Reset Task Force will speak at a forum in Yankton on Wednesday, July 9.  Yankton Police Chief Jason Foote and former Department of Corrections Secretary and current Representative Tim Reisch will speak at the event which has been rescheduled to Wednesday, July 9. 
 
They will provide an update on the activities and discussions of the Task Force which is scheduled to meet July 8 to make a final recommendation for the new prison.  A special legislative session originally scheduled for  July 22 has been delayed and a new date has not yet been determined. 
 
The meeting will be held at the Elks Lodge beginning at noon and ending at 12:50.  A light lunch will be provided.
