Open Mic: The Highwaymen Tribute A Benefit for the Yankton Community Library Summer Reading Program
Join us for a special Open Mic night celebrating the legendary music of The Highwaymen — Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, and Kris Kristofferson. We’re inviting performers of all kinds to take the stage and share up to three songs written or made famous by any of the Highwaymen.
We’ve invited many familiar faces from the local music scene, but this event is open to all — from seasoned players to first-timers. If you’ve got a guitar and a song in your heart, this night’s for you.
Performers should provide their own instrumental accompaniment — this is a live music event, so no singing over pre-recorded tracks.To help avoid repeat songs, please email your planned selections to ben@bensbrewing.com in advance.
Scotty D's Food Truck will be serving up great eats throughout the event!
Proceeds and tips will benefit the Yankton Community Library’s Summer Reading Program.All ages welcome. Come sing, play, or just enjoy a night of iconic American songwriting.
