Join the Yankton Community Library for a special Lunch-and-Learn event on Thursday, June 19, at 12:00 PM. Celebrate Juneteenth with a screening of the documentary Juneteenth: Faith & Freedom brought to you by PBS and Voices from Our Daily Bread Ministries.
Juneteenth: Faith & Freedom portrays director Ya’Ke Smith’s and pastor Rasool Berry’s journey through Texas to examine the history and resilient hope in this soulful and conversational exploration of the Juneteenth holiday.
The film is not rated and has a runtime of 60 minutes. To enhance accessibility, closed captions will be provided. Viewers are welcome to bring their lunch or snacks to enjoy during the movie. This event is free of charge, and no registration is required.
