Cracker Barrels are held monthly during the South Dakota State Legislative session and serve as an open forum for discussions with elected officials about issues that affect businesses. The event is open to the public and held at various locations throughout the community.

Mar 16    Reverse Your Luck with CASA
Plan to attend the 5th Annual Reverse Your Luck fundraising gala on March 16th! Proceeds will provide CASA advocacy for abused and neglected children served by the Southeast CASA Program. We'll be at the NFAA Yankton Archery Center, and we're making it a Friday evening event this year! Every ticket holder is eligible to win the Reverse Raffle jackpot of $1000! Doors open at 6 pm for the social hour, raffles, a bounty of delicious appetizers, and a cash bar.The program begins at 7 pm, with Spirit 'O Green awards given to the man and women who are decked out in the best green outfits, the raffle winners announced, the Reverse Raffle jackpot winner drawn, and a short presentation about CASA. The great Dueling Duo pianos show is back with us again for a very fun and entertaining show that will cap off the evening. Tickets are $50 per person, and are available in Yankton at The 9th Street Clothing Company, Kline's Jewelry, and the Southeast CASA office at 327 Broadway Avenue, as well as from the Southeast CASA Board of Directors members.

Yankton Nuseries owner, Jay Gurney, and manager, Kathy Weiss, will share the latest for today's annual flowers and vegetables and will discuss perennials, patio succulents and cacti.  Also, trees and shrubs that grow well in this region.  They will revisit some plants of yesterday, such as those we grew when no one irrigated.  Plant care methods will be discussed as well as plants for containers, organic pest control, better plant locations, tips on what to look for in a quality plant, and audience questions. 

Everyone is invited to this free event sponsored by the Missouri Valley Master Gardeners.
