First Dakota National Bank is hiring a full-time Loan Accounting Representative to join our Yankton team! This person will support the accounting and system/software side of loans including accepting payments, disbursing new loan funds, correcting unposted transactions, checking back uploaded loans, performing all maintenance required for renewals, and other loan functions in accordance with established guidelines and policies. Hours include Monday-Friday 8-5.
Duties
- Receive and post loan payments and advances
- Assist internal and external customers with Loan related inquiries via phone and Digital Banking services
- Correct daily loan WIP (work in progress) offages
- Check back new loans entered on the system
- Perform and check back loan maintenance requests
- Handle Participated loans – remittance of payments and advances, enter new participations, establish servicing, update spreadsheets, etc.
- Process new loans, prepare entries and enter on uploading calendar
- Credit Life responsibilities including balancing GL, submitting all new and cancelled policies
- Maintain and pay escrow items for Business loans
- Maintain floor plans
- Perform and Assist locations with loan Teller duties
- Service ACH loan payments
- Balance student loan portfolio
- Handle Swap Rate loans (ARC loans) – posting payments, balancing GL, rate changes
- Maintain bonds and leases
- Process selling of FHLB loans
- Complete daily and monthly reporting for FHLB and SBA
- Maintain GL descriptions for fee income and other reports
- Maintain and/or work a variety of reports related to loan system exceptions
- Process incoming loan wires
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Punctuality is a must. Knowledge of common loan and accounting practices is preferred and experience with Microsoft Excel is a must.

Education/Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Some college preferred.
