Have a passion for Food and Flavor and want to put it to work for you? We're looking for a leader with a passion for the culinary and want to prove themselves. A good cook needs to keep their cool, learn, teach, and explore. We run strong lunch hours 7 days a week; this position will have hours every other weekend, regimented mornings and limited evening hours per demand of the catering schedules. You'll find this position has a mix of intensity, excitement with a family like team atmosphere.

As stated, the ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking with experience in kitchen environments. The right individual will both learn and lead. You will play a crucial role in preparing high-quality dishes on demand and togo that meet our catering and service standards. Your expertise in cooking techniques, food preparation, and safety will grow and contribute to an exceptional dining experience in and beyond our dining room.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare a variety of dishes with precision, consistency, and creativity, adhering to recipes and presentation standards
  • Assist in menu planning by suggesting innovative dishes and seasonal specials that align with dietary guidelines and customer preferences
  • Ensure all food handling practices comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment
  • Support food preparation activities including chopping, marinating, portioning, and cooking ingredients efficiently
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service in a timely manner during busy periods
  • Maintain proper storage of ingredients and supplies, monitoring freshness and inventory levels
  • Uphold high standards of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene throughout all kitchen operations

Skills

  • Extensive food industry knowledge including food handling, safety protocols, and catering procedures
  • Exceptional knife skills for precise cutting, slicing, and chopping techniques
  • Hands-on kitchen experience with a focus on cooking, food preparation, and serving in restaurant or hospitality settings
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining a hygienic kitchen environment
