    Marketing Designer

    Job Description

    Basic Function
    Performs a wide range of marketing functions such as designing and producing marketing materials and coordinating content production and distribution to enhance our position within the industries we serve.  This position will be located at Kolberg-Pioneer in Yankton, SD.
    Primary Duties and Responsibilities
    1. Design and update advertisement campaigns, literature, and technical documents following current design and branding guidelines.
    2. Design and develop graphics for use in campaigns such as social media and e-mail marketing.
    3. Assist with the development of promotional and educational videos, including interviewing and filming product managers.
    4. Assist with coordination and implementation of dealer training programs in association with the marketing, service, and sales teams as assigned, including the preparation of training materials.
    5. Assist where needed with tradeshows and other events.
    6. Coordinate and implement marketing programs in association with the customer development manager as assigned.
    7. Assist with collection and organization of data on market trends and activity.
    8. All other duties as assigned.
    Essential Functions
    1. Good project management skills.
    2. Up-to-date knowledge of new technologies and ability of applying it to marketing principles.
    3. Time management, fixing priorities, organizing skills, attentiveness, and accuracy in performance.
    4. Effective presentation of information and strong spoken language skills.
    5. Sound knowledge of marketing principles.
    6. Ability to work individually and ability to handle self-driven projects efficiently.
    7. Conversant with report writing, business procedures, and correspondence.
    8. Ability to establish good relations with all levels of employees.
    9. Self-motivated individual, should be able to work under stress when it comes to meeting project deadlines.

    Education Requirement

    Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, graphic design, or business related, and/or 4 years’ experience within the graphic design or marketing field.
    Essential Qualifications
    1. Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications like Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office. Samples may be required.
    2. Ability to create and produce materials using a range of media, methods, techniques and equipment.
    3. Ability to write and edit.  Samples may be required.
    4. Skills in accessing internet information services.
    5. Ability to provide formal and informal instruction to technical and non-technical personnel in the use of computer hardware and software.
    6. Perform work in an office environment with minor exposure to industrial noise, fumes, smoke, etc.
    7. Ability to climb ladders and climb stairs, and maneuver in a congested, heavy manufacturing environment as well as aggregate, quarry, construction and mining sites.
    8. This position is sometimes required to operate an automobile and travel by airplane.
