    Product Marketing Representative

    Job Description

    Basic Function
    Works with the marketing and product management groups to conceive and develop sales resources and innovative marketing programs.  Attention to detail and the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits are crucial.  This position will be located at Kolberg-Pioneer in Yankton, SD, Johnson Crushers International in Eugene, OR, or Astec Mobile Screens in Sterling, IL.
    Primary Duties and Responsibilities
    1. Utilize product and application knowledge to develop sales resources that quickly and clearly communicate key benefits of products and services.
    2. Coordinate and track sales resource development between marketing, product managers, and other application experts to gather and upload resources to a content management system for mobile application and website.
    3. Assist with coordination and implementation of dealer training programs in association with the marketing, service, and sales teams as assigned, including the preparation of training materials.
    4. Assist with the launch of new products and releases.
    5. Assist with tradeshows and other events.
    6. Assist with gathering and developing reports on customer needs and development opportunities.
    7. Assist with gathering and developing reports on competitive and market data.
    8. Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates KPI-JCI and Astec Mobile Screens products.
    9. Coordinate and implement marketing programs in association with the customer development manager as assigned.
    10. All other duties as assigned.
    Essential Functions
    1. Good project management skills.

    3. Statistical knowledge for analyzing systems and data in order to offer quick solutions for the problems.
    4. Effective presentation of information and strong spoken language skills.
    5. Sound knowledge of marketing principles.
    6. Current knowledge of new technologies and ability of applying it to marketing principles.
    7. Ability to work individually and ability to handle self-driven projects efficiently.
    8. Conversant with report writing, business procedures and correspondence.
    9. Ability to establish good relations with all levels of employees.
    10. Self-motivated individual, should be able to work under stress when it comes to meeting project deadlines.

    Education Requirement

    Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, engineering, or business, and/or 4 years of sales and marketing experience within the manufacturing industry.
    Essential Qualifications
    1. Knowledge of equipment and application for the industries we serve.
    2. Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications including Inventor/SolidWorks and Microsoft Office. Samples may be required.
    3. Ability to provide formal and informal instruction to technical and non-technical personnel.
    4. Ability to write and edit.  Samples may be required.
    5. Skills in accessing internet information services.
    6. Ability to compose information into targeted articles and materials.
    7. Perform work in an office environment with minor exposure to industrial noise, fumes, smoke, etc.
    8. Ability to climb ladders and stairs and maneuver in a congested, heavy manufacturing environment as well as aggregate, quarry, construction and mining sites.
    9. This position is sometimes required to operate an automobile and travel by airplane.
